Renovation of Willits Brothers #618

Curious about Wooden Canoes
I just finished the restoration of my brothers canoe(frostyscot) on the forum. It was all in all a fun project that took approx. 40 hours total. I put three coats of varnish on the inside and four on the outside. I had to put in a couple of patches on the inside and splice some pieces on the tip of the side rails which were broken. I also set a lot of the tacks and replaced about 100 or so.

Here is a slideshow I put together of the process.

Great job - that's a well loved canoe that now has a whole new lease on life.
