Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
In Memoriam
The weekend sounds beautiful. Plan on bringing the clan and the canoe to the Father's Day Paddle!

On Sunday, June 17th we will return to the Sudbury and Concord Rivers for our annual Fathers Day outing.

The launching point is at Sherman's Bridge over the Sudbury River. It is on Sherman's Bridge Road at the Lincoln/Sudbury line and from there to the take out in Concord at the Old North Bridge it is about an 8 mile run. Allow about 45 minutes or so for the shuttle followed by a launching at 9:00am, bring a lunch and we will spend some time at Minuteman National Park in Concord. For additional information, contact John Fitzgerald.

Fun on the Sudbury and Concord Rivers

The Father's Day Paddle went off really well and it was a splendid day. It was Sadie's first time in a canoe. Initially, she thought that it might be more fun to jump out of the canoe, but she eventually settled down and enjoyed the trip.

Son Brendan solo-ed the newly donated WCHA 50 Pounder. He reports that it is a fine paddler and will make a welcomed addition to anyone's fleet. Bid early, bid often, and bid high.:D

Sorry to have missed it. Would have been a bit hard to get the troops up that early on a Sunday morning to meet your put-in schedule. Some year - promise. I take it that the auction of the 50#'er is going on at the assembly?
