Upstate Canoe Sailor
Members of Chapter 1 and the Kanawake Canoe Club spent a delightful day on the water of NY's Lake View Wildlife Management Area Aug 23rd for the Bill Fuller Memorial Paddle. The wind was at our backs, Lake Ontario presented a grand spectacle, and there was lots of wildlife in evidence. Thanks to the folks who put this on.
There are three or four put-ins to choose from at Lake View, all marked on maps available from the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation web site. It was great to see a variety of wood/canvas canoes (please add to this thread if I've left something out) - Penn Yan, Old Town, Canadian Canoe Co. - out on the water.
