Hull Lines

Todd Bradshaw and I used a similar mechanism to take the lines off my Morris canoe years ago. We did it from the inside at the centerline, and as I remember we used sliding dowels, as you describe. Then it was to the paper and drawing a smooth curve. It took us forever to figure out how to do that. I figured there must be some modern electronic device that would help, but maybe not. Thanks.
