Construction question for a 17 foot B N Morris design

I am about to cut planking and the plan calls for 3 inch by 5/32 inch planking....I have white cedar which would be more fully utilized if I use 2 inch by 5/32 inch.....Does anyone know of a problem if I choose to cut the 2 inch widths?...Thank you..

just saw this. Really, it's your call. It would work just fine. I think I'd try to stay with the original and not worry too much about the wasted cedar.
