Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
Okay , it's not a canoe but it is a wood/canvas sister . It was a new presentation gift in 1952 . Can anyone help with specs. , model , serial # location or any other information . Length 13' , beam 45" , depth 20" , bow rise 26" , transom height 15" , tapered ribs 3/8" x 2 1/2" spaced 1 1/2" apart , triangler deck 10"W x 7"L , 3 seats , 1 forward thwart .

Hello Dave,

You should find the model #1811 stamped into the transom knee or on the usal Peterborough brass plate (this is a Peterborough craft).
Attached below please find the specs for the 1952 model.

I was going to say that it sounds like an Autoboat, but Dick beat me to it.

I've worked on a few, its a nice little boat.

Gone fishin'

It got wet today for the 1 st. time in over 30 years . The grandsons even caught some rainbows . Leaked a bit but we found an old soup can that worked just great as a bailer .
