15' "Birch bark" canoe - movie prop from TV movie serial $1,000
I am selling a movie prop for a friend of mine - it is a fully functional canoe. It's a canoe that was used in the 1978 - 1979 TV movie series Centennial. It is classic wood construction with a resin covering painted to look like birch bark.
From what I can tell there were 2 canoes used in the series in the first 2 episodes. I have included screen shots for comparison.
The canoe has been stored in a warehouse for decades and is in very good condition.
It is missing one rib and a couple of others are cracked but the canoe could be paddled as is
The canoe is available for pick up near Bethel, NY.
Asking $1,000 but will consider reasonable offers.
I estimate the canoe to be under 60 lbs.
Length @15' 5"
Maximum width @37"
Depth midships @13.5"
Rocker @4"

Title: Sweet Mystery Canoe
$1400 CA
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
When I purchased this canoe, I was unable to find any identifying marks on it. It probably dates back to the fifties and it is probably an American boat. It was brilliantly restored by the skilled and talented people at Canots Nor West (http://nor-west.ca/en) in Prevost, Quebec. It is 16', weighs about 72 lb. More photos and additional details can be provided on request. This is a functional canoe. It is not a museum piece. It is beautiful, in excellent shape and after a lifetime of paddling canoes of all sorts.
Condition: Very good, usable.
Antique Wood Canoe for Sale
$3,000
Indianapolis, Indiana
Not sure what brand of canoe this is or how old it is. It's 16 feet long and made of mahogany. Someone gave this canoe to my dad when he was a teenager (16 years old I believe). I would say it's at least from the 1960's. It traveled with the family through a lot of moves. My dad repaired and refinished it in 1998, we have dated pictures of that. It's basically been sitting for years. The exterior and top recently received multiple coats of Epifanes high gloss clear varnish extra uv-filter. There's some varish left over that I will provide to the buyer along with the two paddles and two cushions.
Condition - Good usable
Ad Title: Wooden canoe possibly a Peterborough
Location: Midland Pa.
Condition: Needs Restoration
Description: This is a 16ft plank and frame canoe bought used from a muskrat trapper in 1955 at Buckhorn Lake Ontario near Peterborough. It was last in the water sometime in the 1990's and has been stored inside ever since. It shows shrinkage of the planks and possibly some cracks. It has the boards that sit inside the canoe to rest the knees on when paddling. I remember paddling and fishing from this canoe as a young boy. Would like to sell it to someone who would restore it.
