7. Rare pre 1903 Racine Boat Manufacturing Company solo canoe, identified by the original Racine, Wisconsin brass builder’s plate on bow. This is an authentic example of the company’s famous “Indian Paddler” model, which was listed in the 1905 catalog as a 12-foot lapstrake solo canoe.
Cedar lapstrake planking over steam-bent oak ribs with original hardwood decks and gunwales. Professionally restored; exterior varnished, interior smooth and clean. Original wood lazy-back seat included. This canoe is in very good age-appropriate condition and represents a piece of Racine canoe-building history. Ideal as a collector’s piece, with occasional paddling on calm waters.
