1983 Rangeley guideboat by H.N. Ellis
Very Good original condition
$3500
Custom built for us with his son Hal's aid, this is likely Herbie Ellis's final boat (see my piece "The Rangeley Tradition," WoodenBoat #39, Mar'Apr, 1981). It has lived a pampered life: always rowed; moored on freshwater under a custom cover; trailered two miles twice yearly; stored indoors in winter; regularly cleaned and maintained. With it is a pair of Shaw and Tenney 8' spruce spoons and a 1983 galvanized Shoreland'r trailer'/winter berth (new hubs and bearings). This boat has many miles to row before it sleeps.
