This one-of-a-kind canoe was custom built for the artist Bob Timberlake, by Corky Gray.
Southmont, North Carolina
circa 1990s, hand-made of pine with mahogany trim, red fiberglass exterior, made for Bob Timberlake with BobTimberlake brand signature quill, closed mahogany gunwales, two thwarts and deeply shaped yoke are also mahogany. 24 x 163.5 x 32.75 in.
Gray draws inspiration from traditional Native American designs - especially the rugged Abenaki style - adapting them for the demanding rivers and lakes of the Carolinas.
Overall very good estate condition, wicker handle at stern is broken. Per Bob Timberlake, he never used this canoe in the water
