Who built this? Thompson?

My guess would be an Old Town or a St. Louis Meramec based on the planking pattern alone but it usually takes multiple attributes to identify a UFO canoe. The identified Thompson below has a very different planking pattern.



What is the correct answer?

Agree with Benson, doesn't look like a T, but really need more/better images to know more.

Don't have more. A friend posted it on FB as a memory of the gentleman in the picture, Skip Gibson, who lived in northern Michigan near the AuSable North Branch.

I'm confused, didn't Skip live in one of the eastern Sub's of Detroit? Near St Clair?
