Brian J Knudsen Curious about Wooden Canoes

I have a novice/ newbie varnish question/ problem. I was doing pretty well with varnishing until today. I am working on a 1942 Yankee.

I put a coat of varnish on the underside of the decks two days ago and a few drips ran down and onto the top of the deck. The decks were sitting upside-down. I wanted a dust-free surface for them to sit on, so I had put a clean garbage bag on my work surface. The drips connected to the bag. When I picked up the decks a few minutes ago one of the decks pulled away from the bag and left a few dime-size wrinkled spots where the varnish had connected to the bag.

I wiped the surface with 320 sandpaper and then a tack cloth. My question is, will I be able to see these splotches after I put more coats of varnish on? If so, I'd rather just strip the decks and start over.

    Thank you,

Just keep sanding and varnishing until the low spots fill up.
