Spruce Rail Stock

I'm restoring a 1936 OT Yankee and need 18' spruce for the rails. Have tried
the lumber yards in Brunswick, Maine with no success. Does anyone know of
a source within a reasonable distance of this area.

Air-dried spruce planks in varying lengths are available from Parker Lumber in Bradford, Maine. Parker Lumber is a mill so bring your truck and a helper. They supply spruce to Shaw & Tenney for oars, spars, paddles etc among others. And they are nice people to deal with.

Thanks for the help. We went thru Bradford last summer on our way back to Lincoln after visiting Rollin Thurlow's. We have a cottage in Lincoln where
we spend most of our summers.
