Hello all,
in late 2015 I inherited my Father's beautiful old cedar strip canvas canoe after he passed away. I recently had it refinished in absolutely beautiful fashion after it had sat in the woods for over 25 years, but I'm still trying to figure out the history/make/model and possibly the year it was manufactured.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks!

The serial number stamped in the stem is THC0692101

My guess is that you have a Canadian canoe from 2001 as described at https://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/marinesafety/debs-obs-construction-manufacturer-menu-1690.htm but I don't know how to find out what manufacturer was using the THC code prefix at that time. Similar codes and numbers are used on boats and canoes in the United States. THC is assigned to The Hinckley Company as described at http://uscgboating.org/content/manufacturers-identification-detail.php?id=21970 but they aren't likely to have made this canoe. Their web site at http://www.hinckleyyachts.com/ shows that their focus is on much larger yachts. Sorry,

Benson

That's a 16' Prospector that Trailhead (Ottawa/Toronto) had made for them by a company in Quebec...Canots Sylvain maybe? Actually it's a nice shape but the quality of construction wasn't great. Going by the serial number it would have been the 6th canvas canoe built in '92. They also had them in verolite.
