Do you folks use anything to improve the profile of the filled canvas at the stems to make the stem band fit better? Seems to me I could smear something (like Bondo?) & smooth it out to make a nice smooth profile. Sure - the cove profile on the inside of the bands hides a lot of sins, but not all. Opinions?
