have been looking for information on a cedar and canvas boat that has a plate that reads

This is a
Peterborough
Craft
model 315 serial 5295
grade PTD cedar

It is 15' 2" long and the beam is 45" please see the photos. It is a square stern Also there is a clip in the floor and there are 2 rowing stations or sets of oar locks

Can someone tell a little about it? I've searched the fourms and found nothing. Any help from the wealth of info here would help

A simple search of this site yields a lot of info, including that there are no historical records of Peterborough serial numbers, though there are reproductions of catalogues available. My guess is that you have their Rosseau model as described below in the catalog page from the 1930 catalog. More information like this is available from http://www.wcha.org/store/canadian-wood-canoe-and-boat-company-catalog-collection in the scanned catalogs. There are no known serial number records available as Rob mentioned so there may not be many more details available.
