    I stand corrected. Peter Doig is Scottish, living in Trinidad. I came across his name and paintings of canoes via an article about a gallery in New York, but hadn't looked further into his background. In any case, he has quite a few paintings of canoes.

    I thought he was a Scot- via Toronto and Trinadad-but wondered if you knew something I didn't.

    Thanks for the link. I remembered his "White Canoe" painting but had no idea it had been such a constant motif in so much of his work.
