penn yan 10 foot canoe

I picked up a nice Penn Yan auto canoe the other day # ca298 10 I believe it's 1929 10 foot auto canoe. I'd love to find some photos from an old penn yan catalog of it from around that time and maybe a disciption of why it's called an auto canoe. Any ideas where I could start looking? Thanks, Dave. I didn't see it in any catalogs, though I didn't spend hours looking. yet

Dan and I created a prototype Penn Yan catalog collection CD many years ago but could never get permission to distribute it from the current owners of the Penn Yan trade marks. The Auto-Canoe pages from their 1926 catalog are attached below. The source of the name is not described.
