What wood is the coaming on a 1917 OTCA cs grade? Build sheet indicates decks are birch. Would the coaming be birch also or ash?

The coaming would usually match the deck so I would encourage you to use birch in this case. Good luck,

Thanks Benson. Bending birch will be a first for me, I'll give it a shot. Thankfully birch is readily available locally.
