Could you please see if there is a build sheet for this Old Town?

Congratulations, the Old Town with serial number 176345 is a 15 foot long light weight model with a keel. It was built between June and July, 1966. The original exterior paint color was O. T. (Old Town) yellow. It was shipped on July 5th, 1966 to Clarksville, Tennessee. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the first attached thumbnail image below.

This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/about-wcha to learn more about the WCHA and http://www.wcha.org/store/membership to renew.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match the canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.

    Thanks Benson,
It’s up in Your neck of the woods right now but if I can work things out it will be coming back home to Tennessee. You told me before that less than 1% were shipped to this area. It would be great to have one that was “native” to this area.
    Thanks again
    Norm
