Old Town 221597 18

I have an Old Town canoe that I am planning on restoring this summer as an individual learning project at IYRS in Newport. I'm looking for more information on the canoe as part of the project. The serial number is 221597 18. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 221597 is an 18 foot long guide model with a keel and canvas covering. It was built between June and October, 1978. The original exterior paint color was green. It shipped to Raymond, Maine on November 30th. 1978. The back side of the record indicates that it may have moved to Orange, Conn. by September, 1980 when there was a previous request for a copy of this build record.
