The Old Town canoe with serial number 153365 is a 16 foot long, AA (or top) grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with red western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, a floor rack, and sponsons. It was built between September and December, 1949. The original exterior paint was dark green. It shipped on January 31st, 1950 to Atlanta, Georgia. This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
