An -incredibly- beautiful model (length: 11.4 cm) of an Eastern Woodlands paddle in the McCord Museum in Montreal:

I'll say it again: incredibly beautiful !!!!!!!

Can't wait to search the wood pile for the perfect yellow birch plank to make this beauty... I figure a blade width of 5" and a lenght of 30-32".

    Just had to share...

    Salut Louis,

    Trés belle!

Unfortunately, the photo does not show it well. Do they have documents of any other paddles?

That's the only canoe paddle they have.
I sent a message asking if any detailed drawings or close-up pictures of the blade were available, no answers yet. I'll keep you posted.

    Interesting Website

I sent that picture off to a friend, as a "postcard"-- an interesting option on that website. Thanks.
