Members of the Norumbega Chapter and Northeast (Maine) Chapter just got back from an amazing four day tour of the Debsconeag Lake Region in Maine. It was a great trip, as usual, involving a loop through several lakes in the chain and a run down the Penobscot back to the truck.

A trip report will be produced. The views were stunning.

There is a nice shallow cove at First Debsconeag that made for a fine place for the kids to practice paddling. The adults on the trip can't wait for the kids to take a more active role in the paddling and especially the portaging!:D

Thanks Fitz. I look forward to the trip report. We are thinking about a trip for next June after my son graduates from college. This looks like a good possibility....nice brookie!
