Looking for any info on Old Town powerboat

I have a 1972 Old Town 24' cuddie cabin type inboard fiberglass & can find no information anywhere! Can anyone help? Hull # MCZ713891194 Thanks

The MCZ prefix indicates that your number is for "MICHIGAN HOMEMADE BOATS" according to the information at http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_database.htm in the Manufacturers Identification Code (MIC) Database. This was probably assigned when it was first registered in Michigan since this boat was probably built before the Coast Guard mandated Hull Identification Numbers (HINS) were required in 1972. The real serial number is on the bow as described at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?t=1059 in my response to your other message. Please reply there with any further questions.

Thanks again for all your help. I'll have to wait until spring to get the hull number, as the boat is tarped under about 4' of snow, near the shores of Lake Superior! I appreciate your time.
