I was gifted this canoe. The only markings on it is the word "Coaticook" on each side.
Googling has turned up nothing. Anyone have any history on it?

Could be a home built, and Coaticook was the boat's name? Just speculating...

All boats commercially manufactured or imported to the U. S. A. after November 1, 1972 are required to have a Hull Identification Number (HIN) on the starboard stern. We might be able to tell you something more about your canoe if you can provide this number. If it doesn't have a one then it was probably home made as Paul mentioned.

There is a serial number on it. I'll take a look when I get a chance.
