Carbon Paddle

    Here are a few photos of the paddle I just finished. Weight is 470 grams, length 65.5", blade is 5.5" X 25".

    That's roughly 16.6 ozs, very nice.

    Is the carbon a cover over something or is the blade hollow or ?

    Thanks Dan,

    The core material is cedar with a 1/4" strip of ash laminated down the center for a bit more rigidity. The blade was shaved down very thin so with the addition of the carbon fiber there is just the right amount of flex in the blade to reduce impact on joints.
