Just back from the maiden voyage -what a joy to carry compared to my prospector, very fast and nimble. Totally solid hull, not one cracked rib or plank, gunwales and keel still solid, canvas is showing it's age though and will require some temp repairs till it gets redone. Bought from son of original owner, like the old catalog says spent a good part of it's life muskrat hunting in Amherst, Nova Scotia before being relocated to Prince George, B.C. The seller was almost in tears to see it go as it held alot of memories but had recently lost his wife and was downsizing, and was glad to see it go to someone who will appreciate it, I've promised him a ride when new canvas goes on. Will have to figure out how to get some pics up. Has two cane seats but I plan on using as a solo boat- any ideas on placement of seat in centre without having to move thwart?
