For Sale - Restored Threehouse 12 ft wooden canoe
Mortimer L. Threehouse was a craftsman from Rochester, NY who as a hobby in the late 1800s / early 1900s built one or two canoes per year sold locally for racing on the Genesee river. The hull design of the canoe is sleek so that it is fast and agile. Threehouse selected and milled all of his lumber and there typically was 8 - 10 different species in each canoe.
This canoe was built between 1899-1907 and was restored in 1996. It is one of six Threehouse canoes that are known to remain. It has only been in the water twice as owner was not able to use it due to health issues. It has been stored inside since the restoration.
