1929 Old Town "Pin-Up" Canoe

Canoe Make and Model:
1929 Old Town Sponson HW
Canoe Length:
17'

This is a beautiful 1929 Old Town canoe, first sold to Miss Emma Graef who lived at 74 No. 6th St in Hudson, NY. I have all documentation. It is a 17' long sponson canoe - very stable- and impossible to tip over - in the CS Grade, HW (Heavy Water) model. It has a floor rack added, brass stem bands, and brass painter ring. Newer seats. It was named Oseatstow from the original owner, and was painted on the right bow at Old Town. I have used this for a week on Lower St. Regis Lake, site of Assembly, the canoe has no issues and is seaworthy. It paddles like a dream and slips silently through the water. The outwales on the sponsons have been replaced, as have the gunwales and part of the inwales. It has been stored inside since I have owned it. The canoe has been fiberglassed for durability. The canoe was featured in full color on the back cover of “Wooden Canoe” magazine, I will include a copy of the magazine with the sale. It is also the cover canoe on the 2018 Wooden Canoe Heritage Association calendar. $2695. Email me and I will get back to you, or email me your phone # and I'll call back. Thanks,
