1928 Old Town Centerboard Sailing Canoe
1928 Old Town Centerboard Sailing Canoe. This one is special, see Wooden Canoe journal December 2018 volume 41, No.6 for the article about its history. Origionally owned by Adolph Lewisohn, copper mogul and financier from New York City, spent its life in Sagamore Lodge on Upper Saranac Lake in the Adirondack Mountains, now a Young Life Camp. Lewisohn was known to rub elbows with many famous people, namely Thomas Edison and Albert Eisenstein. The canoe itself was restored with utmost detail. All original hardware plus a couple of upgrades and a brand new sail made to exact OT specifications. 60 sq ft Leg O Mutton sail in off white with stitching found on an original boat. She is a fast sailing canoe and will not disappoint!! Please read the article to appreciate. I have priced her at a very fair price so no lowballs please. Thanks for looking! Chris Pearson.
